The Coulter/Connolly 1,945 cc Star

One of the most successful cars at the Ballybannon Hill climbs and speed trials at Magilligan Strand in the 1920s was a 1,945 cc Star registration XI 9393, usually entered by J Coulter & Co Ltd and driven by W H Connolly. A picture of my car is on the cover of my book From Ballybannon Hill to Magilligan Strand.

To my delight I got an order for my book from a gentleman in Limerick who is the current owner of XI 6393. Old star racing cars, it seems, never die.
